As a church community, we want to grow together in discipleship, to meet God together in fellowship, and simply to enjoy one another’s company as God’s family.
Throughout the year, we have Stream Groups: short-term six week groups of people that congregate around a common theme. There is a wide spread of different groups for the whole church family to get involved in, from Bible studies and discipleship courses to photography, football, craft and cookery groups.
These fall in the first half term of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. Stream Groups will be recommencing in Spring 2020.
We also hold Advent and Lent groups, gathering together as we focus our hearts and minds on the Lord Jesus as we approach key moments in our church year.
These fall in the second half term of the Autumn and Spring terms.

We are looking forward to our Advent Groups, each starting from the week commencing 25 November and lasting for the four consecutive weeks until the week before Christmas.
St Michael’s have eight Advent Groups that will be looking at the “Watching & Waiting’ studies written by Joyce Huggett. These will be good opportunities for groups to come together in Bible study and fellowship to learn about waiting in the advent season.
The advent groups will be meeting in various locations across Chester on different days throughout the week to accommodate everybody. We would encourage everyone to get involved, and will look forward to welcoming you to one of the groups. Have a look at the various groups below, and click to register your interest.
