As a child involved in St Michael’s Church, our aim is that every individual feels they belong, feel valued and encouraged to learn more about Jesus and the difference having a relationship with him can make to your life!

On Sunday mornings alongside our morning service we have different groups running for children under the age of 11. We start in the service all together as a whole church and then split for the children to go into their different groups.
Each week in all of the different groups, the leaders plan creative and age-appropriate sessions to help the children engage with stories from the Bible in a fun and relevant way!
Fireflies
0-2
Fireflies takes place during the service on Sunday mornings. A welcoming space for parents and their under two’s to connect with one another, as well as listening to the service on the live loop.
Little Sparks
Age 2 – Year 1
This group meet downstairs in the church building. They are learn about a different bible story each week and have activities based around the story. The activities are often messy and are definitely lots of fun!
Sparklers
Year 2 – 4
This group meets upstairs. Their sessions are based around the same bible story as the other groups. Activity and games help them understand a bit more deeply what the story is about, but don’t think we take ourselves too seriously. There are lots of fun and giggles to be had!
Flames
Year 5 – 6
This group meets upstairs. Their session is based around a similar theme to the other under 11’s groups. Activities vary from week to week and the aim is to help them understand and strengthen their faith in God and help prepare them for their future journey with him.
(But don’t forget that God likes to have a little bit of fun too!)
