Holy Week

We invite you to join us and participate in our worship through Holy Week and in our Easter services as we reflect and remember the events leading up to the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus, and celebrate His resurrection from the grave. Through these difficult times, what an incredible hope we have through Christ.

Please look below to find out how you can engage this Easter.

If you would like to catch up on the Lent course for this year, the link is available here.

Richard Holmes leads us through five amazing, worship-provoking sessions that offer us an opportunity to gain some insight as we gather around the cross to reflect and pray.

We would like to invite you to join us live at 10:00am this Sunday morning for our Palm Sunday service.

Beginning on Monday 29th April, we invite you to tune in with us each day as we walk with Jesus through the events leading up to the cross, as presented to us in the Gospel of Mark.

Each day we will spend time reading from God’s Word, hearing a thought from the passage, and taking a moment to pause and pray, listening to the Lord.

During Holy Week, discover space and time for quiet reflection, following seven family-friendly stations of creation in the church garden. ‘Caring for creation’ will be the theme, as we participate in the journey Jesus made from life to death and back to life again. There will be opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the garden, pause, reflect, pray and be creative. Allow the garden to enrich your mind, body, and spirit, as you encounter Jesus in a meaningful way. The garden will be accessible from the church car park 9am-4pm each day.

In addition to the Easter ‘stations’, there will be a family friendly Easter trail around the church garden with questions, a quiz and a treat to collect on completion!

We want to encourage as many people as possible to prepare a meal that includes one or more of these ingredients: Lamb, eggs, vegetables, flatbreads, herbs, wine or grape juice and Charoset (please Google recipes for this simple Passover dish). We will then have a Zoom meeting at 6pm where we can show our ‘creations’, eat our meal & enjoy conversation with others.

We will also share communion together. We shall probably use break out rooms several times to enable you to chat with as many people as possible.

Good Friday Reflection: Friday 2nd April at 2pm

Riding Lights have produced a new Passion play (written by Les Ellison). On Good Friday, we shall show it in three parts with worship music and prayers in between to help us reflect and remember. There will be an opportunity afterwards to share coffee and your own Hot Cross buns over Zoom.

To be involved, please sign up in advance via the link below. The video link will not be made publicly available and will only be sent out privately.

Celebrate Resurrection Sunday with us this year either online or at our first in-person service of 2021. To join us for this, please follow the link below and register! Mossy Church will be happening for children too, so speak to Sas if you want to get involved with that!
